Engagement

Thursday May 26th, the first full day that Dana and Franklin were together. They went downtown Savannah to view all the lovely Squares.

The dirt collected that day was from the very first square that they went too, the Telfair square. It had a lot of meaning.

Fast forward 303 days....

And we find ourselves back in the Telfair Square. Franklin purposely requested to go to this square. He brought a gift bag and told Dana that she would "open her birthday gift early". Little did she know, Franklin was about to propose.

(the ring has an entire story and page which is a fun read)

Ellie was equally shocked when she got Elliehop, her new build a bear.

Ellie took photos of the moment, then a homeless man limped across the square to help get a photo of all 3 of us.

The book contained 3 QR codes that linked to these pages below. Each page content coresponded with something in the book itself.

History of the Square:

Telfair Square, a beautiful green space in Savannah, Georgia, has a long and storied history. Originally named St. James Square in 1733, it was renamed Telfair Square in 1883 in honor of Edward Telfair, a Scottish-American Founding Father and former governor of Georgia. Telfair and his family were generous contributors to Savannah's cultural and economic growth, and their legacy lives on in the park that bears their name.
