HONEYMOON

On May 12th, 2023 Dana and Franklin went away for a mini Honeymoon. Friday morning Franklin dropped Dana off at work. He went to Supercharge and hung around for a few hours. Dana had to pickup food for a meeting happening at her work. Franklin picked up Dana and they went for lunch, getting subs themselves. They then picked up the subs and Franklin dropped her back off at work.
Dana finished around 3pm in the afternoon. Franklin picked her up and they headed towards Tybee Island for their weekend honeymoon getaway.
Franklin and Dana pulled up to Airbnb "Purple Haze" house that they were going to be staying at. Inside was a map of the Island, pamphlet of things to see and do as well as a gift card for "The Crab Shack". After unpacking, they headed to the beach.
They had fun just sitting in the sun and relaxing as well as just walking along the water. It was super peaceful and relaxing. They then decided they wanted to grab dinner somewhere nearby. As they were talking, a lady overheard nd gave a reccomendation. It was a 30 minute walk. It was really nice outside, so they decided to go for it.
Dana had a fried green tomato sandwich and Franklin had a poke bowel. They finished off the dinner with a chocolate lava cake.
Franklin and Dana then spent 30 minutes walking back along the beach towards the car.
The following morning, Dana and Franklin headed out early for breakfast. Dana suggested that they try the local famous "breakfast club". There was wait outside, it had to be good. Right? Naw. It was okay food at a marked up price. On the plus side, Dana and Franklin can say they tried it. Plus there is this cute photo of Dana pointing at the sign.
Franklin and Dana then went back to the beach. They parked next to this really cool VW. At the beach, they alternated between enjoying the waves and swimming to just laying down and relaxing.
After the beach they headed back to the Airbnb to wash up and head to dinner. They walked across the street to "The Crab Shack". This is the location in which they were given the gift card too.
The Crab Shack is an interesting place. Despite the name, there was a very strong alligator theme going on. There was a sit down restaurant, a place with parrots that you can see, a gift shop, as well as an area with alligators that just roam freely. You had the option of buying food to feed them if you wanted. There was also a really nice lake and boat dock at the back that you could walk around too.
Franklin and Dana sat down for dinner. Franklin got a mixed seafood platter and Dana got a mix of sides and a small cheese pizza. The food was delicious.
They then headed to the gift shop. That is where Franklin found LG, the Crab Shack Stuffed Alligator. This played along perfectly with long standing "Later Gator" inside joke that Franklin and Dana share.
After walking around and checking out everything the Crab Shack had to offer, they walked back to the car and headed towrds the beach again.
Along the short drive to the beach, we stopped off at a tourist store. Franklin tried on these shark beach shoes. On the outside of the store was a Shark photo opportunity.
Franklin and Dana got to the beach parking lot. They went and got some ice cream. Classic Dana, she got chocolate ice cream. Franklin got Wedding Cake shaved ice.
They then walked along the beach. Others were walking as well as you could see flashlights along the beach. The beach at night is so peaceful with the sound of the waves, and the stars bright in the night sky. It was super romantic.
The following day, Sunday, Dana and Franklin headed home. On the way home, they stopped off for breakfast. They learned the difference between the Huddle House and Waffle House.
When they finally got home, Dana was looking super cute so Franklin took a photo of her. Later he turned the motion image into a gif. Dana was like "why you taking this photo?"
